Review | MISSHA All-Around Safe Block Essence Sun SPF45 PA+++

I know that I actually have to put sunscreen on my face every day, but I am not consequent about it. Especially during lockdown, I don’t always find it necessary to smear it on my face. Something like: “I am not going out today, because it’s rainy” or “I have so much work to do today, I’ll go out tomorrow.”

And I know it’s nonsense, because sunscreen not only protects you from sunlight, but also against the blue light of your screen. Still, during this lockdown, I bought a sunscreen that I wanted to try: the MISSHA ALL-AROUND SAFE BLOCK ESSENCE SUN SPF45 PA+++. But I have to mention that I only bought it because of the price. I paid only 7.45 euro’s (8.52 USD) for it.

But the sunscreen also had many positive reviews. People said that the sunscreen doesn’t leave a white cast and it doesn’t sting around the eyes. And for me that’s very important for a sunscreen. Almost all sunscreens I used whitened my face and stung my eyes, so it’s nice this sunscreen doesn’t.

The only negative thing people said about it was that it was only SPF45 instead of SPF50. But honestly, that’s not an issue for me. My skin is dark enough that it really doesn’t matter.

I have been using this sunscreen for 3 weeks and this is what I think about it. I must already reveal that I have not used it every day, because of minor irritations on my skin.

What the MISSHA All-Around Safe Block Essence Sun SPF45 PA+++ promises

The MISSHA All-Around Safe Block Essence Sun SPF45 PA+++ isn’t only suitable for your face, but also for the rest of your body. It blocks both UVA and UVB rays.

The formulation is light-weight, non-sticky and feels refreshing to the skin. It contains skin calming plant-derived ingredients for a soothing and cooling effect.

The sunscreen is water-resistant, sweat-resistant and oil-free.

What I think about the MISSHA All-Around Safe Block Essence Sun SPF45 PA+++

I have to say I was shocked by the small packaging. For a sunscreen that is suitable for your entire body, 50 ml is little. It also seemed as if the tube wasn’t completely filled. I even had the idea that the tube would be finished within a week. Luckily it took me longer, but I have to say that I used it sparingly.

The sunscreen itself was easily to spread on my face. It was indeed a light formula and it didn’t whiten my face. I didn’t think it felt refreshing. It felt like a regular face cream. Still it stung a little around my eyes. Not as bad as with other sunscreens, but I did feel something. Maybe because of the perfume in it. For the little bit that I use, it emits quite a lot of scent.

After I am done, my face looks greasy and shiny. Fortunately this disappears quickly. The rest of the day I do not notice that I have a sunscreen on. Except for one thing: the perfume can be smelled all day long. And I’m not the only one smelling it. A friend said I smell like summer and my husband said he is still smelling my sunscreen in the evening.

After a few days, my sensitive skin doesn’t like the perfume anymore. Small irritation spots appear on my forehead. So I decided not to use the sunscreen every day so that my skin could recover. And this works. Since I no longer use it every day, I no longer suffer from skin irritations.

So I think this sunscreen only works when you don’t have a sensitive skin. Do you have a sensitive skin and are you looking for a sunscreen that you can use every day? Then I wouldn’t recommend the The MISSHA All-Around Safe Block Essence Sun SPF45 PA+++. If you don’t have a sensitive skin, then you should give this sunscreen a try!

As you can understand I am now looking for a sunscreen that is more suitable for the sensitive skin. I’ll keep you up to date đŸ™‚
